Rev. Mary Anne Glover
Rev. Mary Anne Glover is the first African-American women to be installed in the office of Regional Minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She has served as Transitional Regional Minister of the Northeastern Region since September, 2008, and previously served nine years as Associate Regional Pastor in Ohio.
Her prior service also includes pastorates of congregations in Indianapolis, Minneapolis, and Louisville.
Rev. Glover holds a B. S. degree from East Carolina University and an M.Div. from Lexington Theological Seminary. She was the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) representative to the Ecumenical Institute in Bossey, Switzerland in 1991. She has also undertaken studies in Clinical Pastoral Education supervision. During her 2003 sabbatical, Rev. Glover’s studied at the Harvard Divinity School as a Merrill Fellow.
She has been engaged in many areas of ecumenical ministries and Disciples church life, including senior leadership positions at the Black Ministers Fellowship, the Common Global Ministries Board, the Council on Christian Unity, the Church Women Staff Fellowship, the United Church of Christ Executive Council (representing the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Church Women United National Board, and the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches Beyond Racism Together Committee.
